Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid jar with footed base, tall collar, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed tulip motif below a wavy freehand stripe. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a wavy line of cobalt underneath each handle. Significant chipping to foot. One rim chip.
