Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, OH or Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1880, cylindrical form with recessed opening in top and carved oval opening at shoulder. Body of spittoon decorated with a stylized slip-trailed flower blossom flanked on each side by a series of graduated spots. Albany-slip-glazed top. A top-to-bottom T-shaped hairline extending through opening at shoulder. Light wear to opening in top. H 1 13/16" ; Diam. 3 1/4".
