Three Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jugs, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Frederick Carpenter, circa 1812-1827, all of ovoid form, including two earlier examples with dipped iron-oxide decoration to upper and lower body. Undecorated example with some exfoliation to body and a small in-the-firing iron ping to front. Another with heavy chipping to spout and a few in-the-firing contact marks. A third with restored spout, a 1 1/4" in-the-firing contact mark to side with applied piece of clay, a small in-the-firing contact mark to front, and a smooth in-the-firing contact mark to reverse.
