Fine Glazed Redware Jar with Copper Slip Decoration, attributed to Nathaniel Seymour, West Hartford, CT, late 18th or early 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, heavily-tooled base, and flared rim, the surface decorated with haphazard splotches of copper slip over a colorful, mottled ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Flakes to shoulder area. A few small base chips. Minor rim wear. H 8 1/4".
