Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical form with tapered shoulder and flattened rim, the lead-glazed surface decorated with sponged manganese over a colorful olive-and-orange ground. A 2" restored section to rim. Rim chips. A long crack from rim and a few short cracks from rim. Some surface wear. H 6 1/2".
