Glazed Redware Jar, New England or New York State origin, early to mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed surface featuring mottled green coloration with orange spotting throughout. Speckled traces of the underlying dark-red clay appear at the rim and shoulder. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a recently-surfaced Northeastern U.S. collection assembled decades ago. Excellent condition with some light surface wear. H 8 1/8".
