Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with flared collar and inner rim designed to hold a lid, the lead-glazed surface decorated with splashed manganese over an olive ground with orange-and-red spotting. Chips around base. Small rim chip. Wear to interior of rim and inner rim for lid. Light wear to exterior surface. H 7 3/4".
