Small-Sized Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with footed base and tooled shoulder, the lead-glazed surface featuring orange, red, and olive coloration throughout. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a recently-surfaced Northeastern U.S. collection assembled decades ago. Excellent condition with a minor spout chip. Old pen inscription on underside reads, "POSS. MAINE C. 1825-1850". H 5 7/8".
