Rare One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Spoutless Pitcher, attributed to W.F. Hahn, Trenton, SC, circa 1880, ovoid-bodied pitcher with distinctive tooled ridge, and tall, flaring collar lacking a pinched pouring spout, the surface covered in a mottled olive-brown alkaline glaze. This pitcher, while typical in body style and glaze of Hahn stoneware, is the first example from this pottery that we have seen produced without a spout. Wear to rim. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10".
