One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, the shoulder decorated with six spotted tulip motifs in the classic John Bell style. A small chip to interior of rim. Large reglued section at base with two hairlines extending from it along base area. A 1 1/2" reglued flake to side of rim with associated minor rim chip.
