One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with flared base and short, flaring collar, decorated on the front with a two-stemmed clover plant. Brushed cobalt highlights flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Some faint surface lines to body and underside, presumably in-the-firing, the vast majority of which are not visible on interior. A small section of one line can be seen on the interior. Some very faint surface crazing to rim and collar area, not visible on interior.
