One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with squared rim and arched tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with two fan-shaped flower blossoms emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A few shallow base chips, one of which occurred in the firing. A short, faint surface line to base, not visible on interior. A minor chip to one handle.
