Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "P. MUGLER & CO. / BUFFALO. NY," circa 1850, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a flower emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with minor nicks to interior of rim and a small, in-the-firing iron ping to front. Some light bubbling to cobalt.
