Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Stenciled and Freehand Cobalt Decoration, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and tooled rim, decorated on the body with a stenciled band of geometric designs between freehand stripes. Collar decorated with freehand tulips in the classic Donaghho style. Spout vertically-decorated with V-shaped brushwork. Excellent condition with minor spout chips, a minor chip to rim molding, and two minor in-the-making, glazed-over dents at base on side of pitcher.
