One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Bird Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR & CO. / TROY", NY State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of a bird with small, impressed eye, perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and lower handle terminal. Excellent condition with some staining to surface and minor wear to interior of spout.
