Glazed Redware Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, flared mug with footed base and applied strap handle, decorated with heavily-sponged manganese over a mottled green and orange ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Shallow chipping to rim. Very minor base wear. A very minor 1 3/8" in-the-firing surface line on reverse, which is glazed over and not visible on interior. H 4 1/8".
