Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form, one stenciled "KNOTTS & CO / PALATINE / W.VA", the other stenciled "J.M. HARDEN / & CO. / PALATINE / W. VA." Jars measures approximately one gallon and two gallons. Knotts jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Harden jar is out-of-round, with some staining and a short vertical line at base on left side of jar.
