Three Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA or WV origin, circa 1875, a small-sized, ovoid jar with three stripes, Western PA origin; a tapered canning jar with "wax sealer" rim with four stripes, Western PA origin; and a one-gallon jar, decorated with four stripes, probably Palatine, WV origin. Ovoid jar with a 1 5/8" line from rim, partially visible on exterior, some light surface wear to midsection, and some in-the-firing flaws. Canning jar with two base chips, small rim chips, and a few tiny nicks to inner wax sealer rim. One-gallon jar in excellent condition. H (of canning jar) 8 1/8".
