Glazed Redware Jug, Maine origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded spout, the lead-glazed surface featuring brilliant, speckled red coloration overlain with dark-mustard highlights. Heavy chipping to base. Handle with some minor edge wear and a small flake. A 2 1/4" vertical scratch to glaze on reverse. Glazed surface survives in overall excellent condition. H 7 3/4".
