Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and flattened rim, decorated with a leafy stem bearing five stylized flower blossoms, applied over slip-coated clay. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A top-to-bottom crack from rim on reverse. Otherwise excellent condition.
