Large-Sized Stoneware Punch Bowl, Inscribed "ROOT BEER", attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, large-sized, molded bowl with relief shell-and-scroll motif around shoulder along with drape motifs and Greek key designs around the foot. Relief star decoration around midsection with the words, "ROOT BEER", impressed three times. Surface covered in a Bristol slip glaze with cobalt highlights throughout. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some flecks of gray paint to rim, unrelated to any sort of restoration, and an in-the-firing separation to underside, not visible on interior. H 10 3/8" ; Diameter 9 5/8".
