One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated around the body with three two-stemmed flowering plant motifs. A hairline across underside, which forms a Y at base, part of which extends 4" up body of jar and part of which extends several inches along base of jar. Some abrasions to cobalt.
