One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BINGHAMTON.N.Y.", William Roberts, Binghamton, NY, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Some pre-firing carving to interior of spout. Shallow in-the-firing chips to underside at edge.
