Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON", NY State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird with fan-shaped tail and spotted wing, perched on a flowering plant. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
