Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, Stamped "BRADY & RYAN / ELLENVILLE, N. Y.", circa 1885, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a stylized ground. A small chip to interior of rim. Two minor in-the-firing iron pings to reverse. Some fry to cobalt. A 5/8" surface line to decoration.
