Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG", PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stenciled design of four foliate motifs surrounded by a scallop-edged square. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
