One-Gallon Stoneware Jar Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING, PA", circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a large brushed tulip extending diagonally across the front. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing contact mark to base.
