Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to the Miller Pottery, Strasburg, VA, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and arching tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a distinctive foliate brushwork forming a wreath-like design. Cobalt highlights to tops of handle. Chips to one handle. Two small chips to opposite handle. Chipping around base.
