One-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J.D. CRAVEN", Randolph and Moore Counties, NC, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared collar with angled rim molding, the surface covered in a salt glaze. Impressed with Jacob Dorris Craven maker's mark above an impressed checkerboard design. A small rim chip and two minor rim nicks.
