Three Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, all of cylindrical form, a tulip-decorated example with associated Albany-slip-glazed lid and a clover-and-stripe-decorated example, Baltimore, MD origin; together with a floral-decorated jar, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA. Tulip-decorated jar with rim chips, crazing to rim and shoulder area, and hairlines. Lid with significant chips. Clover-decorated jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Remmey jar in essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing surface crazing to underside, base, and rim. H (of tallest) 9 1/8".
