Two Glazed Redware Jars, Norwalk, CT origin, circa 1840, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded rims, decorated with manganese daubs under a clear lead glaze. Slightly-taller example in excellent condition with some light surface wear. Felt padding covers the underside, but no damage is visible on the interior base. Other jar with rim chips and some surface wear. H (of slightly taller example) 10 3/4".
