Glazed Redware Pitcher, New England origin, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with footed base, ribbed handle, and short, flaring collar, the surface decorated with light manganese accents and covered in a clear lead glaze over an olive-green ground with orange spotting. This pitcher was not dipped completely in its lead glaze, leaving some areas where the glaze is omitted. Surface wear to handle. Minor wear to rim. A minor base chip. H 7 7/8".
