Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, early 19th century, finely-potted, ovoid jar with footed base and flared rim, decorated with incised combing to the rim and shoulder, the lead-glazed surface with appealing dark-green coloration spotted with orange. Incised "144" on underside. Excellent condition with a small chip to interior of rim, some wear to top of rim, and whitish residue from use on interior. H 5 3/4".
