Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Decoration of a Mohawk Indian Bust, NY State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, featuring a slip-trailed profile of a Mohawk Indian's bust with distinctive mohawk hairstyle. Two small spout chips and some minor wear to spout. A 1 1/4" in-the-making dent to bottom edge on front and a narrow 1" in-the-firing chip to bottom edge on side of jug. Some spots of staining.
