Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER. / ROCHESTER", NY State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant, featuring a large blossom, two buds, and leaves below. Slip-trailed "3." to shoulder. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A 7/8" rim chip. A tiny nick to interior of rim. Chips to inner rim for lid. Some exfoliation to underside. Some small spots of wear or fry to cobalt.
