Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Signed "Lanier Meaders", Cleveland, GA, circa 1980, ovoid jug with well-sculpted face, featuring an upswept nose, kaolin teeth and eyes with cobalt pupils, and differently-styled ears. Surface covered in a dark-olive alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9".
