Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1865, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a flowering vine motif, applied over slip. Brushed "2" under one handle. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A spider crack from rim on one side. Otherwise excellent condition.
