Three-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, cylindrical form with footed base, large rounded collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals with a curving line of cobalt underneath each handle. Hairlines to underside, extending onto base. A 1 3/8" base chip and two small base chips.
