Two Pieces of Harrisburg, PA Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, circa 1865-1880, a one-gallon cake crock with cobalt spitting tulip motif, stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG", paired with a two-gallon crock with brushed design of a spotted tulip emanating from a leafy stem, stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG PA". F.H. Cowden crock with rim chips, the largest measuring 1 1/4", shallow chipping and wear to right handle, wear to left handle, and wear to rim. Cowden & Wilcox crock with significant painted restoration to surface, right handle, and rim, possibly overzealous, which does not touch the decoration.
