Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER. MASS", circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a parrot with spotted tail and body, perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 7/8" chip to right handle. A few small, in-the-firing iron pings to surface. A 3/4" in-the-firing chip to underside at edge. Some fry to cobalt.
