Three-Gallon Quincy, MA Stoneware Advertising Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with ringed neck, perched on a stylized branch. Shoulder impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "E.E. HALL & CO. / QUINCY, MASS.". A minor in-the-firing chip to left handle. Two minor rim nicks and a minor, in-the-firing iron ping to rim. A 3/4" rim chip on reverse, probably in-the-firing. In-the-firing iron and lime pings to interior.
