Rare and Fine Pint-Sized Stoneware Jug, Stamped "GOODALE & STEDMAN", Hartford, CT, circa 1825, small-sized, ovoid jug with tooled spout, the interior coated in a reddish-brown slip, the exterior coated in a salt glaze. Impressed with Goodale & Stedman maker's mark at shoulder. Exceptional size. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, purchased by the consignor decades ago. A filled and colored spout chip. Otherwise excellent condition with minor chipping to base. H 7".
