Unusual Rockingham Inkstand with Applied Angel Figures, possibly Ohio, second half 19th century, slab-built inkstand with saw-toothed and scrolled border, decorated with molded and applied figures of praying angels, each coated in yellow slip, the front incised "H.S.", the surface covered in a mottled brown Rockingham glaze. Includes removable inkwell. Missing sander. Inkstand in excellent condition with a few minor nicks and a 1" in-the-firing line to shoulder of one angel. Inkwell in excellent condition with very minor wear. L 7 5/8" ; W 5 3/8" ; H 4 1/4".
