Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Washington, Pa Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and spout, decorated with stenciled cobalt advertising, "A.C. Morrow. / Rail Road Grocer / Washington, Pa.". Shoulder decorated with freehand vining. Base with cobalt-script "2" flanked by graduated dashes, underscored by a freehand stripe. Spout chips. Salt drips to shoulder and reverse.
