One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "J.P. PARKER / JANE LEW / W VA", circa 1870, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, featuring J.P. Parker maker's stenciling with a small, stenciled diamond design at center. A 2 1/8" reglued rim chip on front, with some wear around chip. Wear to interior of rim. A rim chip on reverse. A 4" vertical surface line from rim on interior, not visible on exterior. Some wear to stenciling.
