One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA", circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared rim, decorated with a flower bud emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Very nice condition with a base chip to front and some minor staining to reverse.
