Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK & CO. / MOUNT MORRIS", New York State origin, circa 1825-1840, highly-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt leaf below a freehand cobalt "2". Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent condition with some staining.
