One-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock with Huntington, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "THOMAS MEDFORD. / STOVES, / QUEENSWARE / ETC. / HUNTINGTON. W. VA.". Freehand stripe decoration above and below. Desirable form. Very nice condition with some surface wear.
