One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled accents to the body and collar, the front decorated with a tulip design featuring large arching leaves. Sides of pitcher additionally decorated with small floral motifs. Spout decorated with a central tulip blossom flanked by large curving leaves. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a forty-year Maryland collection. Restored handle. Restoration to spout extending onto rim.
