Two Half-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, 19th century, both of cylindrical form, one with horizontal floral motif extending completely around shoulder, the other decorated with a brushed leaf on the front and reverse. Floral-decorated jar with hairlines from rim, the longest descending approximately 2 1/2" from rim, as well as some faint lines to underside, and some light staining to surface. Foliate-decorated jar with rim chips and a base chip.
